Class 10 Batch of the year 1996

Alumini Corner

Although my affiliation with TCV Ladakh was for a short period, yet I built my knowledge foundation and earned lifetime friendships that I cherish and maintain till today. Firstly, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our one and only His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama for being the epitome of universal peace and compassion who taught us to be kind to every living being(which formed the basis of my current profession), the school for playing a major role in building the person that I am today and lastly my wonderful teachers (Gen Gala Rinpoche la(late), Gen Tsering la, Gen LhundupNamgyal la, Gen NgawangLobsang la, Gen Karma Singye la, Gen LobsangMonlam la, Gen SonamChoephel la and many more), who have nurtured and contributed immensely throughout my school year. Their teachings and guidance still guide me in making my life’s eminent decisions. My honest and sincere advice to all the students will be to just enjoy the school life, give your 100%, explore new challenges, be true to yourself and your abilities and above all try your best to be a good human being!!!!

I also wanted to give a huge shout out to my fellow 1996 batch mates (Mission 2022), under the magnificent leadership of President PhuntsokStopden la and Executives, for all the altruistic contributions for this project and making this successful. TashiDeleck.

Tenzin Khando (Leh) (Canada)

First, I want to offer my gratitude to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, our spiritual guru, for being the light of wisdom, peace, and compassion. His hard work and dedication led the world know about Tibet and Tibetans. I consider myself lucky being picked by Gen Tenzin la (Late) from a remote region of Jhangthang. There is never a day that goes by, where I don’t remember and appreciate my beloved teachers including Late Gen Tenzin la, Late Gen NgodupWangdu la, and Late AniGarab la for their teachings/guidance that helped me become independent in a completely different world. I would also like to mention my Amala (AmaTsesang la) for teaching me to be hygienic and importance of staying clean. Of course, I feel indebted to my Music/Dance teachers Gen Thupten la, Late Gen Sherab la and Gen Gudak la for empowering me with the knowledge of our Tibetan traditional music/songs/dance that I still cherish and enjoy and pass on to the future Tibetans.

My sincere request to all the teachers at school is to consider each student as their own child and be vigilant with their strengths and weaknesses and help them as much as they can.
